Thursday 13th October, The Hub, Dublin Hey Paulette will reform after fifteen years to pay homage to John Peel. Also playing on the night are House of Mexico, Female Hercules & Luggage. On the decks will be Leagues O'Toole & The Dudley Corporation. Hey Paulette were privileged to have recorded a John Peel session in Maida Vale in 1989. They were termed a C86 band as they played jangly guitar pop hits. Their singer Eamon wanted to be in Orange Juice or Josef K while the others wanted to be in The Smiths. They released a number of singles independently on their own label called Mickey Rourkes's Fridge and next year a compilation cd titled 'Long Ball Into Nowhere' will be issued by Fire Station Towers.

Commonplace - Hey Paulette To hear the other bands go ->>>> over there
Some Reviews: 'Commonplace' is approximately three times better than Lloyd Coles's most elevating gleams of moonbeams and about half as delightful as Orange Juice's endlessly inspirational 'Falling and Laughing' which considering Edwyn's wickedly brilliant way with words and plangent, plainitive minor chords, makes Hey Paulettes first single well worth climbing the fence for. Tingle of the Week' Melody Maker 'This is a peachy session, and would make a lovely EP' - John Peel 'Guitars grind while the singer delivers his humble message. What could be simpler? Magic' In Dublin 'Hey Paulette helped me through a difficult break up!' - Garry O'Neill, Skinny Wolves
