The long awaited debut album titled 'Long Ball into Nowhere" has been released by Fire Station records
and Clarendon records.  It contains 17 tracks, 4 of the tracks are from our "peachy " John Peel session
recorded in 1989.

The tracks list is as follows:

i really do love penelope
our immeasurable differences
erstwhile wet blanket
a pet day
mad into the rollers
another poet
give up
i will line the streets
inconsequential
pebbledash
commonplace
i don't want to be a male bardot
my half of the pillow
happy to be here
smalltown reel
i must be in love
my half of the pillow (live at the underground)

Gig News & Video News in the 21st century

As a special thanks and tribute to John Peel, Hey Paulette  reformed for one night to play the Dublin
John Peel Tribute Day on Thursday the 13th October.  It was really great fun and alot of people seemed
to like it .  It was strange playing the songs after sixteen years, we think that we managed to pull it off
considering we only had two rehearsals. We should have some photos soon.

House of Mexico and Female Hercules were great.  Unfortunately Luggage couldn't play due to the
guitarist having an accident, we will have to get them to play soon once Joe has recovered. Can't wait to
see them.  Leagues O'Toole and the
Dudley Corporation played a storming set of  unfashionable Peelie
hits and everyone danced til 3 in the morning. It was great, you don't hear Half Man Half Biscuit, The
Fall and Stereolab that often in a club.

We have just found a video for our single 'I Really Do Love Penelope'
and is available to see on You
Tube
